Sunset Mesa is accredited by several nationally recognized bodies. The National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPSA) is comprised of private, tax-paying private elementary and secondary schools. North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) is one of the regional accrediting agencies which accredits both public and private schools from elementary through college levels. The New Mexico Public Education Department also accredits Sunset Mesa Schools.
