Helping the Community
Sunset Mesa Preschool and Pre-K and the
Garden of Tomorrow had chosen the Roadrunner Food Bank as
their recipient charity for the 2008-09 school year.
The Roadrunner Food Bank is New Mexico’s largest hunger
relief organization and a leader in the fight against hunger
in our state. In addition to all of the proceeds from the
sale of produce, flowers, and baked goods at the Farmers
Markets, the Roadrunner Food Bank received the proceeds
from the sale of $1.00 raffle tickets for bundles of kid-sized
yard and garden tools. The raffle tickets were available
at all of the Farmers Markets, as well as in the Preschool and Pre-K
office.
