Sunset Mesa School
Sunset Mesa, an independent school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, provides instruction and learning opportunities for children entering preschool, Pre-K, kindergarten, and elementary grades 1st-5th. Established in 1948, we have been educating young children in academic excellence, strong character, and foundational learning for more than 65 years. Applying to Sunset Mesa
Applications for the 2017-2018 school year will be available October 14, 2016. Limited openings for the 2016-2017 academic year may be available. Please contact the Admission Office at 505-298-7626, prior to submitting an application, to inquire about openings for your respective grade level(s) of interest.
Pre-K applicants must be 4 years old by September 1st.
Step 1: Inquire and Schedule a Tour
To begin the admission process, complete the Request Information form or contact the Admission Office to schedule a parent tour of our campus. If your child is not with you on your initial visit, you will be invited to schedule a second visit with your child.
Step 2: Complete Online Application and Submit Payment
Click Admissions Online to begin the online application process. Once you have completed the application forms, a Submit Application and Make Payment option will appear. Please follow the instructions provided to submit your application, along with the non-refundable $100 application fee.

A completed admission file consists of an application and the $100 application fee. After the Director of Admission and Preschool Director have met your child, an admission decision will be made. Families will be notified of our decision and may move forward with enrollment.
Midyear and Summer Admission
Once a school year has commenced, applications will be accepted throughout the year, depending on available space. Openings for the following year may also be possible during the summer. Please contact the Admission Office to inquire about available openings in preschool prior to submitting an application.
